Just a quick note to let everyone know that over the next few weekends we are going to have a tree cutting crew out working around the course. They know to stay out of golfers way and were nothing but courteous to everyone that they encountered this past weekend! We are trying to get some of the over-growth that has occurred over the last few years to make it better for everyone that plays golf here as well as for the health of the course itself. They have already started working widening the fairway on number six and have cut all the brush on the left side of the fairway as well as all the way to the creek bank on the right side. They cut some on the left side of number eight green so that the trees there are no longer hanging over the edge of the green as well as the trees that are on each side of the creek on number nine fairway so that it is not such a tight window in which to hit through. Other cutting projects include but not limited to: cutting the higher limbs and trees on number six fairway to really open it up, clearing out the trees from behind number five tee box all the way to the corner of the creek to allow some airflow to number six green so that it will not always be so wet, cutting back of the trees and bushes on number seven to open up tee shots to the green as well as help keep moisture on the green, cutting back of trees around number eight tee box to get some sunlight in there so that we can try to get more grass to grow and not have the overhang on the tee box, as well as some minor trimming around the lines that carry power to the lights throughout the golf course! Fun Stuff! Come see us as we transition!!!
